One of my favourite sets in our current Occasions catalogue, is the beautiful “Flying Home” stamp set. I received this one as a gift at our last training day with Stampin’ Up…. and I loved it from the moment I saw it. I love birds of all kinds, and bird houses have always been fascinating to me too. So to have both in a lovely set, ready to colour….. well it has my name all over it.
The card I’ve made for you today is a simple enough project. I stamped the ‘birds in a nest’ stamp onto Whisper White cardstock, and cut it out with the largest circle in the Stitched Shapes framelits (my favourite dies ever!). I’ve coloured my image with Stampin’ Blends (colours listed below), and then mounted the circle with dimensionals onto a Dazzling Diamonds scalloped circle. The background paper is from the Myths and Magic DSP pack (doesn’t it look great with that image!). I borrowed the sentiment from the Petal Palette stamp set…. I find I am using those a LOT…. I love the font they have used, and there are so many useful sayings in the set.
